Partial Address on Internet Not Being Removed Today

We previously announced that BAREIS MLS® is removing the field Address on Internet today, April 3rd. We have decided to not remove Address on Internet at this time, as more time is required to research our options before moving forward.

BAREIS MLS® Rules and Regulations changes effective 04-03-2017

The Board of Directors approved the recommendation from the Rules Committee to revise Regulation 14.4 (f) by adding language from the California Association of REALTORS® Model MLS Rules to provide clarification when members post minimum displays of IDX listing information. One line thumbnail displays, texts, “tweets”, etc. of 200 characters or less are now exempt from displaying listing attribution if the display links directly to a display that includes all required disclosures (i.e. your IDX website).

Lockbox Rule Clarified

The Board of Directors also approved a recommendation from the Rules Committee to clarify Regulation 15.11. that if a lockbox is placed on a property for showing purposes, there must also be a BAREIS approved lockbox on the property. If a seller has a lockbox on the property for non-showing purposes a BAREIS approved lockbox is not required.
