Please read this email in its entirety!
When you login to the MLS on Tuesday, December 1st you will have a new login experience. You will need to enroll in the new RSA Adaptive Authentication the first time you login on December 1st . The intent of this email is to clarify any questions you may have and to ensure a smooth cutover to Adaptive Authentication.
New features have and will continue to be added to Adaptive Authentication. If you have read or heard anything from us that conflicts with this email, please disregard the previous statements and know that this email contains the most up to date information.
The Enrollment Process
• You will continue to use the same website URL: http://norcalmls.rapmls.com.
• On the login screen you will only be prompted to enter your User ID. You will have the option to have the system remember your User ID for future use. Click Submit.
• On the next screen you will enter your password.
• Next you will be prompted to select an image and give that image a caption. This is a precaution that ensures that you are on a true Rapattoni site in the future.
• Next you will answer four security questions. Select questions from the drop down lists that you will easily remember. You may be prompted for these questions in the future. The answers to these questions are not case sensitive, but do please make sure you carefully spell you answers correctly.
o You will have a check box at the bottom of this list that reads, “This is a primary computer that I will use to access the MLS.” If the computer that you are registering on is in fact the machine that you will be primarily using to access the MLS you may check this box. The system will prompt you for your security question answers less often on this machine. You may select this box at a later time if you choose.
o Next you will be prompted with a notice that your registration is complete and the Usage Agreement which you must accept if you wish to login to the MLS.
The Typical Login Process After Enrollment
• On the login screen you will only be prompted to enter your User ID. You have the option to have the system remember your User ID for future use. Click Submit.
• On the next screen you will enter your password.
• If this is your primary computer from which you access the MLS you will now be directed into the MLS system without further challenge.
• If this is not your primary computer, or the RSA risk analysis software detects fraudulent activity, you will be prompted to enter the answers to two of your security questions before being directed into the MLS system.
o You will have a check box at the bottom of this screen that reads, “This is a primary computer that I will use to access the MLS.” If this computer is one that you will be primarily using to access the MLS you may check this box. If you are on a computer that you rarely use for accessing the MLS do not check this box.
o If you fail too many security questions you will be locked out of the MLS for 30 minutes. You may contact BAREIS support to resolve this issue faster. If after hours, please leave a message in the tech voicemail and we will contact you.
Tokens and the PDA Site
As a precaution, all BAREIS members should hold onto their tokens until notified to dispose of them.
Users that log on to the Rapattoni system using a smart phone or PDA will be prompted to enter a token code. Tokenless security will not be available on the PDA site (http://norcalmls.rapmls.com/pda) until early 2010.
Subscribers of Supra eKey Professional will not need to use the token for Supra eData on their smartphone/PDA device.
