After extensive discussion, the Board agreed to increase the annual fee charged to members of data share organizations to help recover the increased costs associated with issuing cooperative codes to those members of organizations participating in the Bay Area Cooperative Key Program.
BAREIS MLS® staff gave a demonstration of Cloud CMA. Features of the program include the ability to customize reports. The system retains CMAs, tours, flyers & reports under the agent’s log-in. The product has very strong “quick CMA” and “quick flyer” features that work on hand-held devices. Members can view a demo and sign up for a 30-day free trial through BAREIS homepage.
The Board approved the Rules Committee’s recommendation that DOM & CDOM continue to update when a listing is changed to Temp Off-Market status.
The Directors discussed the potential conflict between the information that is required by BAREIS SEL Form and the confidentiality agreements that some agents utilize as part of their listing agreements. The Rules Committee will consider this issue in greater detail and make a recommendation to the Board at a later date.
BAREIS member Sandy Stewart was approved as a non-Director member of the Rules Committee.
The Communications Committee reported that conversations regarding BAREIS benefits and services continue with brokers of some of the larger companies in Marin County. Similar efforts in Sonoma County will begin soon.
15,000 lockboxes have been exchanged in the first week of the effort. We will continue exchanging lockboxes until February 10th. The lockbox rules requiring a BAREIS-approved lockbox (now the Bluetooth Box) will be reinstated February 1st.
