Meeting of the Board of Directors March 24, 2017

2017 Directors: The results of the 2017 Board of Directors election were announced at the Annual Meeting of the Members. The following Directors were elected with terms expiring March 2019:

Napa County Class B Director:    David Barker, Wine Country Group, Better Homes & Gardens, St. Helena

Sonoma County Class A Director:        Pat Provost, Century 21 Alliance, Santa Rosa

Sonoma County Class A Director:        Richard Paille, Hart & Co, Santa Rosa

Mendocino County Class A/C Director:        Walt Jorgenson, Rams Head Realty, Gualala

Marin County Class A Director:    Brent Thomson, Pacific Union International, Mill Valley

Marin County Class A Director:            Frank Soda, Sunshine Realty, Sausalito

Dave Fahrner of Terra Firma Global Partners was appointed by the Directors to fill the vacant Sonoma Class A Director position.

2017 Officers:  The following Directors were approved as the 2017/2018 Officers of the Board:

2017 Committee Chair Appointments:  The following members were appointed to serve as Committee Chairs:

Finance Committee:  The net worth of the Corporation increased slightly. Membership numbers also increased. The revenue and expenses year to year remain consistent. The Directors approved the audited 2016 financial reports.

Rules Committee:  The Directors approved the Rules Committee’s recommendation to modify BAREIS Rule 14.4 (f) by adding language from the California Association of REALTORS® Model MLS Rule 12.16 (e). The Rule will read:

    14.4 (f) All listings on a Member’s IDX website shall identify the firm name of the listing brokerage and listing agent in a manner designed to easily identify such listing brokerage or agent. Displays of minimum information (e.g. a one-line or thumbnail search result, text messages, “tweets”, etc of two hundred (200) characters or less) are exempt from this requirement but only when linked directly to a display that includes all required disclosures.

Innovation Task Force:  The Directors approved the recommendation from the Innovation Task Force to use My Property Office as the vendor for the public portal that will combine listing data from BAREIS, SFAR and EBRD.  BAREIS members will also receive a member-branded website for free and access to the My Property Office client portal for a low fee.    

Rapattoni Updates:  During the annual membership meeting, Rapattoni provided a demonstration of the features and enhancements that will be released within the next 6 months including mapping upgrades, a redesigned client portal, and a redesigned IDX product which allows members to integrate a free IDX search into their personal webpage.

During the annual membership meeting, Rate Plug provided a demonstration of their integrated mortgage calculator product, which populates live lending data from the agent’s trusted lending partners into the MLS. Rate Plug will be available to members by the end of April.
