Realist2 Troubleshooting

 

No Search Pane

Double click on the three vertical lines in the middle of the grey border to the left of the map/grid.

 

White Screen When Opening Realist

Sometimes, particularly after deleting temporary Internet files, Realist may take up to two minutes to load. During this time users are presented with a white screen. If the white screen lasts longer than two minutes, try the steps outlined below.

1.       Add *.realist.com and *.rapmls.com to your trusted sites list in Internet Explorer. If you are not using Internet Explorer you can skip this step.

For Windows XP users, click here

2.       Uninstall Adobe Flash Player and install latest version.

Adding *.realist.com and *.rapmls.com to Trusted Sites for Windows XP

1.       Close all Internet Explorer windows.

2.       Click on the Start Menu -> Settings -> Control Panel. Some people may have Control Panel directly on the Start Menu.

3.       In Control Panel, if it says Switch to Classic View on the left side click on that.

4.       Double-click on Internet Options.

5.       Click on the Security tab at the top.

6.       Click once on the Trusted Sites icon (green check mark).

7.       Click on the Sites button below that.

8.       Uncheck the box that says Require Server Verification at the bottom, if it is checked.

9.       At the top, where it says Add this website to the zone, type in *.realist.com and click add. Now type *.rapmls.com and click add. This will add both domains to the Websites list below that.

10.   Now click the Close button.

11.   Click on the Default Level button in the lower right area.

12.   You will see a slide bar to the left and slightly up from the Default Level button. Click and drag that all the way to the bottom.

13.   Click OK.

14.   Close Control Panel and log back into the MLS. Test the Tax link. If Realist still continues to give a black loading screen for more than two minutes, close all Internet Explorer windows and proceed to the Uninstalling and Reinstalling Adobe Flash Player instructions.

1.       Close all Internet Explorer windows.

2.       Click on the Start Menu -> Control Panel.

3.       In Control Panel, if it says View by: Category in the upper right, click on that and change to either large icons or small icons.

4.       Double-click on Internet Options.

5.       Click on the Security tab at the top.

6.       Click once on the Trusted Sites icon (green check mark).

7.       Click on the Sites button below that.

8.       Uncheck the box that says Require Server Verification at the bottom, if it is checked.

9.       At the top, where it says Add this website to the zone, type in *.realist.com and click add. Now type *.rapmls.com and click add. This will add both domains to the Websites list below that.

10.   Now click the Close button.

Uninstalling and Reinstalling Adobe Flash Player for Windows XP

1.       Close all programs.

2.       Click on the Start Menu -> Settings -> Control Panel. Some people may have Control Panel directly on the Start Menu.

3.       In Control Panel, if it says Switch to Classic View on the left side click on that.

4.       Double-click on Add or Remove Programs.

5.       Uninstall Adobe Flash Player. You may see two, one labeled ActiveX and the other Plugin. Remove both in this case.

6.       Reboot the computer.

7.       When the computer is back up, open your browser and go to www.adobe.com.

8.       At the top of the site, click on Downloads. Then click on Get Adobe Flash Player on the right side of the page.

9.       We recommend unchecking the box to include the Google toolbar or McAfee software. Then click the Download Now button.

10.   Follow Adobe’s steps to finish installing Flash Player.

11.   Login to the MLS and test the tax link. If Realist still continues to give a black loading screen for more than two minutes reboot and try again. If you still experience the black loading screen for more than two minutes call BAREIS technical support at 707-575-8000 or 800-776-5252.
